SalesLogix Selected to Provide Syndesis with Immediate Improvements in Employee Productivity and Performance
Global telecommunications software leader chooses SalesLogix over Salesforce.com for flexibility and low total cost of ownership
Scottsdale, Ariz. - September 27, 2005 - Sage Software today announced that Syndesis Limited, a global telecommunications software company, is completing migration to the SalesLogix CRM suite. After evaluating solutions from numerous CRM vendors to help the organization achieve improvements in employee productivity and performance, Syndesis selected SalesLogix for its high level of product flexibility and low total cost of ownership.
“Syndesis is currently in high-growth mode. We needed a CRM solution that eases the transition of valuable customer information during staff and organization changes. This is especially important as Syndesis continues to encounter growth opportunities through new sales and acquisition. It is vital that productivity, performance and customer satisfaction remain at the highest level as these changes occur,” said Colin Hales, assistant vice president, sales development and operations for Syndesis.
Syndesis began its evaluation of CRM vendors in late 2004, during which time Syndesis acquired a subsidiary which had previously implemented Salesforce.com. Following this initial phase of evaluation, the company immediately recognized the need for a single CRM solution that enabled improved functionality and a lower total cost of ownership. Additionally, one of the most important criteria was flexibility. Syndesis needed a solution that provided ease of implementation, but was also flexible enough to integrate with the company’s existing accounting and help-desk applications. Furthermore, as Syndesis continues to rapidly expand its service offerings and customer base, the company required a CRM product that was easily customizable.
SalesLogix exceeded the requirements for flexibility, total cost of ownership, vendor stability and security set forth by the Syndesis evaluation team. Currently, the solution is primarily being used for its lead management and marketing capabilities. The second phase of implementation, which consists of further product integration to user interfaces and reporting, is currently underway.

Syndesis’ new solution has already delivered a significant return on investment through customer account management and improvements in employee productivity and performance. Syndesis is also realizing a reduction in its sales cycle and expects to see even more improvements in this area as further use of SalesLogix takes effect. Currently, there are 65 Syndesis employees using SalesLogix. Client 1 Technologies, a Sage Software business partner, will continue working with Syndesis throughout the second phase of implementation.
